Questionnaire Results

I asked the following questionnaires to members of the public and in return, I was able to find out a range of information from my target audience who were people between the ages of 16 to 25.

From my general information I found out that it was very common to go to the cinema. However, how often they go varies from once a month to "every time a good film comes out". While some people like comedy and action, others like thriller and romance which shows that people between the ages 16-25 are interested in a variety of genres. Due to technology being so advanced, not a lot of people buy films and prefer to watch it online. Although background music and special affects attracted a lot of people to film trailers, there was a vast amount of people who was attracted by the actors and actresses

From my specific questionnaire I found out that there was a balance between people who liked and disliked thriller films. Those who were in favour of them preferred a build up of tension as it made it more interesting rather than getting straight to the point. They also felt that the background music added great effect to the film because it suggested a bad event was going to take place as well as build up tension for the audience. Both mysteries and action was liked by the public.

From my one to one interview I got two opinions from two females who differed slightly in age. Although one did not favour thriller films as much as the other, she still gave us useful information such as liking young actresses and actors being used in films as she could relate to them being young herself, background music adding some effect and actors and background music being two factors that make a film trailer attractive. My next interviewee loved thriller films because of the thrill it created. She also liked a mixture of young and old actors and actresses because it made it more interesting and easy to relate to. Lastly, she felt that special effects and editing added great effect to the film rather than background music.
